EIGHTH, your will allows you to appoint your executor, guardian, trustees and others. You appoint individuals to serve as your fiduciaries under your will. This means that you get to pick people you trust to handle your affairs when you die. Otherwise, appointments are made by the probate court and, in many cases, will be people you do not know or people you never would have picked if you had made a will.
